Round Towers Clondalkin U8 Girls faced Naomh Olaf in Pairc Ui Bhrian on Sunday 30th March 2014 in their first set of Go Games and Ken Byrne provides the following report. View pictures from the Games here. Well done girls!

What a fantastic start to a first season for this brilliant group of Footballers.  We asked the Girls on the day to have fun and continue to do everything they learnt in training and “Oh boy” did they respond.

Our Girls played excellent, displaying some fantastic ball handling skills. Free flowing hand passing movements brought the play from one end of the field to the other. The Girls held the midfield in all of their games and played the ball well into the forward line.  This was repeatedly finished off by some fabulous punt kicking. Each and every Girl challenged for every ball, they supported each other and came out on top for each of their games. 18 Tower players turned up to play, each and every one of them had an opportunity to practise their ball handling/carrying skills in a variety of positions over the four games. They were a credit to themselves, their parents and the Club.  They are an enthusiastic group of girls that don’t need much motivation to play fun football.  All of the Girls have been training very well over the last 7 weeks, practising the footballing skills relevant to their age.

Well done Girls, you were a pleasure to watch!!
