Round towers U11’s hurlers entered into St Kevins U12’s hurling blitz and did themselves and the club very proud. The team played very strong in their first two matches, beating the home club to book a place in the quater finals against Setana hurling club. The first half was fast and furious and Towers were trailing 2-2 to 1-0 but the lads, captained by Sean Casey, stormed into the second half and kept Setana scoreless. They were unlucky to end up on the wrong side of a 2-2 to 1-4 defeat, only losing by a point. It was great hurling from the lads and 14 u11’s showed on the day and two under 12’s. It was a good day all round and an event that was well run by St Kevins.
