The U21 Footballers beat Trinity Gaels in Donaghmede on Saturday 12th December to qualify for the Championship final.

Dean Alford made a string of point blank saves to keep Towers in the game, and with Barry Keane & Barry Finn doing well at the back, and Tom Lyons & Eoghan Young all to the fore up front, Towers went it at the break six points up.

Trinity Gaels and Dean Kelly in particular came out firing in the second half and they rattled off four points in a row, but some calm defending towards the end ensured Towers emerged by the minimum.

They now face the winners of St Pats Donabate & Naomh Mearnog in the final in late January.

Well done to all the players and the management team of Padraig MacCarthy, Ed O’Malley & Rory Dunne.
