The Round Tower U9 Hurlers competed in the Kevins Hurling Club end of season tournament in Dolphin Park over three Sundays in November with excellent numbers turning out in very cold conditions. Four teams competed in the U9 tournament – Kevins Hurling Club, Ballyboden, Clanna Gael and ourselves. The kids really enjoyed the challenge with excellent skills on display for the 50 minute matches to beat Clanna Gael, Kevins and Ballyboden which led to a final with Kevins Hurling Club on Sunday. A very tough battle followed with Towers coming out on top on a scoreline of 2.1 to 1.0. The kids were delighted to collect their medals and trophy.
Thanks to all of the parents for bringing the kids out over the past few weeks in very cold conditions. It was well worth the effort with skill levels and teamwork improving each week. New players always welcome regardless of experience,
