Round Tower GAA Club recommends that those Members who wish to volunteer to assist during time of crisis through already established volunteer organisations to support a coordinated response at community level to Covid-19. We are now providing you with detail of local voluntary endeavors that Members may choose to ‘sign-up’ to and support:
The South Dublin Volunteer Group are engaging those who sign up with some activities around testing: https://www.volunteer.ie/about-us/covid-19/volunteering-during-covid-19/
The local Order of Malta are supporting people who are self-isolating: https://www.facebook.com/OrderofMaltaAmbulanceCorpsClondalkin/
The Older People’s Charity Alone has established a national helpline. They are also looking for volunteers to support with deliver of groceries, prescriptions, fuel or to provide telephone support: https://alone.ie/
The staff of Clondalkin Community Policing Unit want to notify everyone that the team is working to reach and assist as many vulnerable and elderly people as possible: https://www.facebook.com/318037998836039/photos/a.550018945637942/550018975637939/
A local teenager, Josh Ellul, has set up a database of those who are willing to volunteer around Clondalkin and surrounding villages. One task that has come up for this group is to help existing structures such as meals on wheels who may need drivers. Deputy Emer Higgins and Councillor Eoin Ó Broin have been to online meetings regarding this local group. At the moment the group is waiting for national funding to enable coordination but people can sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfdyvyq7LXvNm46H2EGqJLdZ6cNJi3tAGDJjzl8rGO7wxZkTw/viewform

Thank you to Councillor Eoin Ó Broin for informing of the local services that require supports.
