Theo English RIP

Round Tower GAA Club extends its condolences to the family of the late Theo English. Theo’s son Conor is the manager of our Under 16 Hurlers and his grandson Ben is on our senior hurling panel. In a glittering career which spanned the early fifties to the late sixties, Theo English won every honour in the game. A member of one of the greatest Tipperary teams of all time his record includes: 5 All Ireland senior medals in seven appearances, 7 Munster medals, 8 National League medals, 4 Railway cup medals and 5 Oireachtas medals plus a junior hurling All Ireland medal in 1953. The death has occurred of Theo English, Monkstown, Barne, Clonmel, Tipperary

Theo English, Monkstown, Barne, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary 10th January 2021 peacefully at South Tipperary General Hospital.

Very deeply regretted by his loving wife Maureen, daughter Siobhan, sons Theo (Jnr)., John and Conor.

Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, daughters in law, brothers, sisters , brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and his many friends.

Theo’s funeral cortege will arriving at St Mary’s Church, Irishtown, on Wednesday at 11.50am for a private Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Family flowers only.
