Round Tower GAA Club has announced details of its annual Easter camps and this year teenagers, as well as children, have Gaelic Football and Hurling activities lined up for them.

The football camp for five to 12 year olds will run from Monday, March 29 to Thursday, April 1. The equivalent hurling camp takes place the following week, beginning on Tuesday, April 6 and finishing Friday, April 9. Both will run on a daily basis from 10.30am to 1.30pm, with six different coaches facilitating coaching, drills, games and mini leagues. The Easter camps are well established in the Clondalkin area, having been running for six years. The price for each is €30.
This year, new camps are being provided for 13 – 17 year olds. The football event will take place on the 30th and 31st of March and inter-county footballer Eamon Fennell will be among the coaches. The hurling camp takes place on April 7th and 8th and coaching at it will be Paudie Butler, the GAA’s National Hurling Co-ordinator, David Needham, Dublin Minor manager, and David O’Callaghan and Liam Rushe, Dublin hurlers. They will deliver coaching drills of the highest standards. The cost for each of the camps, which run from 2 – 4pm, is €30.
Zoe Cole, Round Towers Games Promotion Officer said: “The camps offer kids an excellent opportunity to have fun on their Easter break, while allowing them to improve their Gaelic Football and Hurling skills. This year we are extending the camp and allowing teenagers the opportunity to develop their skills and learn from top-class talent.”
Registration takes place in the Towers clubhouse from 2-4pm on Friday March 19th and 26th, and 10am – 2pm Saturday March 20th and 27th. Eight to 12 year olds will also be able to register for the Street Leagues, which will begin on April 12th (football) and 14th (hurling).
