Children have lots to look forward to in the weeks ahead as the club’s social committee has organised discos and a table quiz to bring them into the Summer holidays. And not to be left out, an 80’s disco night is lined up for adults.
On Friday May 7, a disco is being held in the club for eight to ten year olds. It will run from 7-9pm, with admission costing €5.
The 12-14 year old age-group will have their own disco to look forward to on Friday May 28. This end of term discotakes place in the clubhouse from 8-10pm, with admission being €5.
Those aged in-between, the 10-12 year olds, will have their end of school disco on Friday June 25. Admission is €5 and the event will run from 7-9pm.
Before this, a table quiz is being held for 8-12 year olds on Friday June 11. The quiz will run from 7-9pm and entry will cost €5.
An 80s disco night should get the adult members of the club out dancing. Fancy dress is optional, though people are encouraged to dress as their favourite character from the 80s. The event is on Saturday June 12 and the fun begins at 8pm. DJ Robbie Moore will bring people back in time and admission is €5.
It should be noted, the social committee had decided to hold off on organising events for teenagers until September, due to their Junior and Leaving Cert commitments.
