The match started off with each side giving their all for the first fifteen minutes.

In the sixteenth minute after good play from Saoirse Tunney and Ceola Ni Fhearghaíl led to a fine goal from Aibí Ward. Five minutes later the Camogs were two goals up when Aisling Seery scored a great goal from a twenty yard free. Clann na Gael did their best to attack the Tower’s defence, but resolute defending from Hannah Clark and Fiona Walsh who in particular,  has improved greatly since the start of the new season kept the away team at bay.

Angie Mac then made a brilliant save off the line. In the twenty fifth minute Emma O’Malley scored a fine point and then scored two more points and this give the home team a lead of 2-3, 0-0 going into the break. Within a few minutes of the second half Hannah Clark scored a fine point. Towers were now putting the Ringsend side under pressure and in the fiftieth minute Lauren Davis scored Towers fifth point.

In the sixtieth minute Emma O’ Malley scored a great goal after some good field play from Caoilfhionn Ní Dheoráin and Angie Mac. Within minutes Emma scored another goal which was Towers fourth.

Clann na Gael kept their composure but try as they did, they couldn’t score and with five minutes to go and a goalmouth scramble Lauren Doyle powered home a great goal much to the delight of Towers supporters and players.

This was another good performance by the Clondalkin side and their next game is against arch rivals Commercials in two weeks time.
