Our venue changed thanks again to our beautiful Irish weather, so it was off to the foot of the Dublin mountains to play against Thomas Davis, writes team mentor Eric Byrne. Our wily foes having played us many a time decided that the fierce wind would be like an extra man in the first half, but the Towers boys knew well their cunning plan and kept most of the play in their half forward line. The first half ending in a draw Towers 1-2 v Davis 0-5. The second half had the Towers lads rubbing their hands together as we now had this back breaking wind on our side and we opened a can of whoop ass on the mountain boys. Our lads worked the ball well using both sides of the field to run Davis ragged and kept their goalkeeper busy. Our goalkeeper Louis O’Loughlin got man of the match today with some great saves and puc’s that haven’t been seen since Setanta of old. He kept our forwards on their toes with plenty of high balls and Towers ran out comfortable winners in the end. Round Towers 4-10 V Thomas Davis 1-5. Thanks to parents again for suiting and booting the lads, and big thanks to Thomas Davis for venue change. Towers Abú
