The Minor ladies had their first evening match of the season on Monday 14th April and they were up against O’Dwyers who are second in the Division 2 League. The girls knew this was going to be a tough match and with this in mind they were told by ‘the gaffer’ to go out do their best and enjoy themselves and from the very start they made sure that O’Dwyers were not going to have an easy win.

Towers were the first to score with a point and this was shortly followed by a goal. O’Dwyers replied with the next 3 points, and then they managed to score their first goal. Each team took it in turn to score but at half time the score read  1-6 to 2-7 to O’Dwyers.

The whistle blew for the second half and the girls came out fighting intent on gaining back the lead. With both teams battling hard the game was a pleasure to watch and our girls dug deep and gave a hundred percent. The final whistle was blown and the end score was 4-7 to 2-13 making it a draw. Nothing more could have been asked of the girls and everyone agreed it was a great match and a pleasure to watch.

The girls along with the mentors would like to thank all the parents and friends who without fail are on the sideline supporting us.
Our next match is on Monday 21st away to St Syvesters.
