Round Tower’s Under 8’s girls continued their Go Games against Beann Eadair in Howth on Saturday July 12th, match report by Maria Shannon.
It was a misty Hill of Howth last Saturday morning when 15 of our girls turned out against two Beann Eadair sides on their home turf.
There was a cool breeze but our girls kept warm as they covered all parts of the pitch – using their skills, calling for the ball and some great punt kicking down to their forwards.
It seems Cúl Camp the previous week rubbed off on some of the girls, with some great defending, tapping the ball out of their opponents hands and winning it back.
There was plenty of encouragement too, not just from the mentors and parents on the sidelines, but between the girls themselves with lots of high-fiving when things went their way!
All girls got to switch positions during the two 20 minute games so they were mixing it up against their opponents, keeping them on their toes.
Brilliant game girls, keep it up!!
