Round Tower GAA Club and Liffey Valley Shopping Centre team up for Sponsorship

27 February 2012

Round Tower GAA Club is delighted to have entered into a partnership agreement with Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.

The three-year agreement will see Dublin’s top shopping destination sponsor the GAA Club’s Senior Footballers for a three year period. It brings together two integral and reputable Clondalkin organisations.

The sponsorship arrangement was announced at a ceremony in the GAA Club’s newly completed state-of-the art training and playing facilities  at Monastery Road in the heart of Clondalkin. Attending the ceremony were Denis O’Connell, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre Manager; Round Tower GAA Club Chairman Tony Delaney; Senior Football Manager Caimin Keane; team captain Cathal Carthy; vice-captain Barry Keane; Selector Paul Burke; and nursery players Dearbhla and Sadhbh Keane.

Commenting on the new sponsorship arrangement, Niall Connaughton, Round Tower GAA Club Asst-Secretary and Sponsorship Manager said: “Both Liffey Valley Shopping Centre and Round Tower GAA Club are integral to the Clondalkin community and we are delighted to have teamed for this sponsorship arrangement. Liffey Valley Shopping Centre’s support is a big boost for the club and our senior footballers and is the start of what we expect to become a very fruitful partnership.”

The partnership follows on from a hugely successful fundraiser the senior footballers participated in in Liffey Valley on December 20th. This saw two endurance races of six hours completed by the footballers in the Shopping Centre and raised money for the GAA Club and two local charities, The Carers Association and Warriors United Special Olympics Club.
