Round Tower GAA Club launches Sportsmaster 2011

Round Tower GAA Club has launched a very exciting fundraising initiative that is offering €4,000 worth of prize money to the winning participants.
Sportsmaster 2011 is a fun and exciting sports prediction game that encompasses 26 sporting events that will run from March to November. Participants are being asked to predict the outcome of sporting competitions in Gaelic Games, soccer, rugby, golf, horse racing, cricket, snooker, tennis, cycling, darts, and show jumping.
Winning options are offered for each of the 26 events, with the favourites earning fewer points for the participant who picks them as opposed to an outsider that wins, which will garner more points. €4,000 worth of prize money is on offer for the top five entrants. The winner with the most points will receive €2,000; 2nd prize is €1,000; 3rd is €500; 4th €300; 5th €200. Sportsmaster 2011 begins with the Cheltenham Festival in March, asking how many Irish winners there will be, and concludes in November asking the winner of the Formula 1 World Championship. All entries must be submitted by February 28th.
“With the unpredictable nature of sport and so many events to be predicting the outcomes for, this will be a challenge and great fun for sports fans and non-sports fans alike,” Cathal Wall, Towers club member and an organiser of the initiative says. “This should be great fun for club members and the wider community.”
Tickets are priced at €20 and are available by contacting Cathal at 087 2618390 or Ed at 087 8073391.
