In celebration of International Women’s Day, Round Tower GAA Club would like to acknowledge the integral role that women have in our club. We have a thriving Ladies football and Camogie sections at both adult and juvenile levels, that are consistently bringing honours back to our club. We welcome and encourage the fact that more and more women are getting involved in committees at all levels, and the club only functions due to the support we get from our non playing female members. Round Tower GAA Club supports the theme of International Women’s Day 2023. #EmbraceEquity.
This year, we have taken the opportunity to interview Mary Dardis. Mary is one of the club’s Vice Presidents and was one of the driving forces behind the resurgence of Camogie in Clondalkin. We have asked Mary to briefly reflect on her time and the role of Women in Round Towers.
