Give Respect – Get Respect.
The Executive and Members of Round Tower GAA Club would like to acknowledge and thank all the referees from Round Tower GAA Club who week in and week out referee games in all codes and in all grades throughout the county. Without this super group of volunteers, we wouldn’t have any games. We must never forget some basic facts! Without referees we would have no games; if Round Towers do not provide referees to the different boards, we will not be fixed for games; and most important of all, we must all respect referees. All our members, coaches, mentors, players and supporters are reminded that Respect is one of the core values of our club. We expect every individual to show respect to referees, opponents, coaches, and officials. Pictured are some of our referees who gathered recently in Monastery Road. These are our club mates without whom we wouldn’t have games. This great group represent Round Towers with pride every weekend. We need to return the favour and show respect to all their refereeing colleagues who officiate at our games.
There is no excuse for poor behaviour!
If any of our members are interested in taking up refereeing, please contact a representative of our juvenile or adult games committees who will put you in touch with our referee coordinators.
