Tower’s G4d had a very eventful weekend as they took part in the Truagh GAA club recreational football blitz in Co Monaghan at the weekend, writes Colm Kelly. In the group stages Towers won 2 out of their 4 matches and were then beaten in the Shield Final. There were 2 pitches in operation at the event and Towers played their best football on the full-size main pitch where they were able to show their ball skills and fitness to greater effect. As some of the pictures posted online by Mr O’Malley and Larser will show a very nice few pints were consumed that night in Glaslough and the craic with the locals was brilliant. Well done to the host GAA club for putting on an excellent event again this year and thanks to Brian Graham, Keith Fagan and Aidan Sharkey who guested for us on the day.
