Tour guides sought for Clondalkin
Clondalkin Round Tower Heritage Group has been awarded a grant by South Dublin County Council’s Community Initiative Fund to run a training course for volunteer tour guides who will be available to give guided tours of Clondalkin and, in particular, the Round Tower area in their spare time.
The training course will be held on nine Tuesdays from January 17th to March 28th 2017 (with a mid-term break and a study week) and one Saturday (date to be arranged with course participants). The venue will be Áras Chrónáin.
If you are interested in local history and heritage and would like to be trained as a volunteer tour guide for groups of interested locals, tourists from near and far or school groups, please complete this application form (click to read) by WEDS 14th DEC and return by post to the address on the form.
It is anticipated that there will be widespread interest in the Tour Guide course which is limited to 20 places. We encourage you to apply and if the Heritage Group cannot offer places on the initial course they hope to organise a second course to meet demand.
The course modules will be delivered by Abarta Heritage for Clondalkin Round Tower Heritage Group.
Ag súil le cloisteáil uait agus leis an turasóireacht oidhreachta a chur chun cinn i gCluain Dolcáin le chéile!
