Club Membership Announcement
As of today, club membership for the year ahead is open via the Foireann portal at foireann.ie – the GAA’s official games management system.
There are no price increases to membership fees for 2024 but some small changes.
There will be a 33% increase for any membership processed after February 29 (membership paid by instalments started before this date will not be impacted).
The club will host membership events later this month to assist those who have difficulty using foireann.ie – this will be the only opportunity to process cash membership.
The rationale behind this approach is to help us generate revenue to offset the large outlays we have in quarter one before the season starts.
As per the discussion at this year’s Club AGM instigated by members, we are encouraging parents to take out membership along with their children in support of the club and to help offset the considerable costs involved in the operations of the club.
By way of example:
The provision of the Club’s Long Term Athletic Development Plan, our contribution towards the Club GPO, registration, insurance and affiliation fees combined cost €140,000 per annum.
Thanks to all who support the running of the club through the prompt renewal of membership annually.
The usual family packages are available, and members are reminded that full membership voting rights are dependent on the commencement of the renewal process by March 31.
All players must be registered members of the club and the GAA/LGFA/ Camogie Association before fixtures commence and player injury scheme cover at all times is dependent on membership compliance.
