It was a fantastic display by the Round Towers under 8 camogie team on Sunday morning, 19th April, against Cuala. Fifteen girls togged out to play on a bright sunny morning for their first home match at Monastery Road, which allowed us to enter two teams. Both our teams were very strong winning 3 out of 4 matches. We had two more new recruits playing today and with the three O’Sullivan sisters playing on the team the future is looking bright for Round Towers camogie! Cuala were strong but our girls put in some great performances and kept battling till the end. Once again thanks to the parents for getting the girls out bright and early and of course to all our ‘smallies’ who are only dying to get on the pitch! Carly Egan missing from team photo as she had to dash off with her Mam to Moyle Park for the under 15 camogie match (who also had a great win today).
Training resumes this Wednesday in Moyle Park at 4.30. See you all there. Next blitz is away to Stars of Erin on 10 May.
Team: Kitty Quinlan, Elsie White, Imogen Sullivan, Laoise Brennan, Tara Kelly, Shonagh Byrne, Carly Egan, Amelia, Ella and Laoise O’Sullivan, Caoimhe Rafferty, Lauren Kiernan, Alicia Kelly, Kara Lynham Clarke and Katie Manning.
