Clondalkin History and Heritage Day will take place this coming Saturday, 21st November, in the Civic Offices, Civic Plaza (opposite Mill Centre). It is being coordinated by Round Tower Heritage Group and South Dublin County Council.
Construction of Clondalkin Round Tower Visitors’ Centre will commence in the New Year and South Dublin County Council are anxious to begin to gather old photos and artefacts that will form part of future exhibitions in the centre. If you have anything that might be relevant/of interest please bring it along on the 21st and SDCC staff will scan it and return it to you on the day. Club Members, have you anything of particular interest re the history of our fine club that could feature in an exhibition? Club President Tommy Keogh will be on hand to assist on the day and he is also providing a lecture on the history of the club, with details in the flyer provided below (note there are two pages to the flyer).
Tommy’s is one of a series of short lectures on aspects of Clondalkin’s history and the day will also feature two guided walks. There will also be fun for the kids and music and coffee in Áras Chrónáin.
Please SPREAD THE WORD.
