Re requirement from contestants for the programme – see below – if they are not provided by this coming Friday, 4th March, these will not appear in the programme. Participants are asked to bring their €300 fundraising to the Clubhouse no later than next Tuesday March 8th at 7.30 where the committee will be meeting.
It may have only been the launch at our clubhouse last Sunday, but you could sense the rivalry is already building for Round Tower Presents The Kube 2016. Participants representing club teams from across all codes and grades attended the launch. Many were anxious to test their skills early, playing the games, testing their balance and poise.
Thank you to all who attended. It was an evening of brilliant fun and entertainment. Our attention now focuses upon the big night itself, which will take place at the Red Cow Moran Hotel 16th March.
We thank all those contestants who have put their names forward to represent the various teams.
As well as the fun, there was also a ‘business’ element to Sunday’s proceedings. Club Chairman made the draw for the six heats for the night. The heat groups are listed below.
How will it work?
Two people from each heat will go forward to the semi-finals and two from the semi final will go forward to the Final. They will be joined in the Final by the contestant whose team raises the most money. This is called the “Golden Ticket”. So get collecting and you might get that ticket. Only two of the organising committee will know who that person will be, and they will announce the name after the Heats.
What we need from Contestants
We now need the following from each contestant:
- A photograph for the Programme. (preferably head & shoulders)
- An artist and song. This will be played when you are in the KUBE.

What we need from each team
We are also asking each team to get their €300 (or more) to the organising committee. By now hopefully you will have raised your sponsorship. Please bring it to the Clubhouse next Tuesday March 1st at 7.30pm, where the committee will be meeting. To make this fundraising event a success we need all the teams to get their sponsorship in quickly.
