In February 2010, Today FM launched Shave or Dye – our first ever station charity drive in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. The campaign saw our presenters shaving and dying their hair and in turn asking listeners to do the same. The response was phenomenal, as people across the length and breadth of the country raised more than €800,000 for the Irish Cancer Society and we’re getting ready to do it all again!
The Gaelic4Mothers section are getting involved, and on Wednesday 23rd February a member of our team will be shaving her head (professional hairdresser will be doing the shaving) if we raise €1,500!
There will also be other women who have committed to getting their hair dyed a rainbow of different colours!
We are asking Round Towers people to pledge a small donation (just a spare €1 or €2 or the loose change in your pocket!), or support us on the night in the Club from 8pm onwards!
There are collection tins on the bar in the club if people feel like making a donation that way.
Come along and support Shave or Dye In Aid of the Irish Cancer Society with the Gaelic4Mothers on Wednesday 23rd February in the club!
