2022 AGM

Round Tower GAA Club will hold its AGM for 2022 on Saturday the 3rd of December at 2pm in the clubrooms on Convent Road. This is the most important meeting of the year in any GAA club’s calendar as it gives all members the opportunity to participate in discussion on any and all club affairs. The AGM affords members the opportunity to elect their Executive Committee for 2023, submit motions or recommendations that can effect change to the management and operation of the clubs’ activities and to discuss the performance of the club in 2022.

One of the main functions of an AGM is to elect a new Executive Committee for 2023. The Executive Committee is a voluntary group that coordinate the affairs of our club. It has 15 members made up of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Adult Games Officer, Juvenile Games Officer, Coaching and Development Officer, Facilities Officer, Oifigeach Gaeilge, Communications Officer, Registrar, and two ordinary members who provide vital liaison with a number of different sub committees. We want to stress to all members that our club needs more members to get involved at Executive level. If you have a skill set that matches any of the above positions, please consider standing for a position on the Executive. Nobody will be ‘thrown in at the deep end’ and full induction and ongoing support will be provided to any new Executive member. We are particularly interested in hearing from female members interested in letting their names go forward in an effort to address the gender imbalance of the Executive Committee and to better reflect our membership make up.

Anyone wishing to stand for election, get involved in any way in the management of the club affairs and/or learn more about what is involved should contact the club asst secretary, Sharon Jordan @ secretary.roundtowersclondalkin.dublin@gaa.ie . Please note that anyone wishing to stand must submit his or her name before the 19^th of November. If any member wishes to submit a motion or recommendation for discussion at the AGM they must do so by the 19^th of November. Please contact the club secretary if you require any further details on this process.
