Our Under 10 girl footballers made their first away trip as a group travelling to Dromintee in South Armagh on Sunday morning (August 25) to take part in a blitz with 19 other clubs from all across Ulster and around Ireland.
They started off with an impressive win over Middletown (Armagh) before playing two draws against Glen Emmets (Louth) and Killeavy (Armagh) and finished with another win over Mullaghbawn (Armagh) to finish second in their group unbeaten.
This placing fixed them against Clann Éireann (Armagh) in the quarter-final of the Cup (A) competition and their exploits ended against the eventual winners but not before another gutsy display.
Well done to all of our players and their parents, whose support on the day was fantastic.
Thanks also to the team mentors and of course our hosts Dromintee for their hospitality and hard work around an excellent blitz.
