The under 8 camogie team took part in their first blitz of the season on Sunday in Kevins, writes Angela Quinlan. Round Tower entered two competitive teams in the blitz, playing against Kevins, Judes and Commercials. There were a number of debut appearances which is a great sign for the future. The girls got stuck in from the start and weren’t afraid to put in some strong tackles and score some goals. We have been doing a lot of work on lifting the sliotar and striking in the air at training and it was great to see some of the girls doing it in the match. Keep up the practice at home girls!
Thanks to all the support from parents and siblings on the sideline, cheering on both teams and always willing to lend a hand to the mentors.
