Our Under 10 girls faced off against Ballinteer St. Johns on the Monastery Road on February 13th. Match report by Maria Shannon.
This was a two team affair as Round Towers took on two teams from Ballinteer St. Johns. We had two fantastic matches against a familiar opposition.
Fiona Jackson and Riona Ni Shruthain were between the Towers sticks while Aoife Robertson, Kim Nolan, Isabelle Kiernan, Aoife Billings, Emma Fogarty and Lauren Fitzpatrick kept the goal mouths safe, getting balls out down their wings to the midfield lines.
Ella Dermody, Rebecca Nolan, Maria Byrne and Muirinn Ward took charge in both midfields, winning balls from the tip off.
Alannah McCabe, Eve O’Connor, Ella O’Reilly Emma O’Brien, Alannah Fitzmaurice, and Sadhbh Breen were in the forward lines and between themselves and our midfielders, they scored some impressive points.
During the two 20 minute halves, we made use of our subs, Aoife McCabe, Emma Burns and Shonagh Byrne slotted into our defence while Niamh Downes and Sadhbh Keane gave a dig out in midfield while Holly Redmond and Saoirse Pollard were racing around in the forward lines.
