One of the biggest success stories on the adult playing front in recent years has been the introduction of a fourth adult football team. Under the stewardship and guidance of Bernie Cronin, Robbie Smith and the late Paddy Delaney, this team has very proudly represented the club at adult football level. Seasoned performers have combined with the younger, up-and coming talent to compete at Junior level. It went through the 2015 season unbeaten in AFL11 and this year will compete in AFL10.
It’s season gets underway under the lights of Monastery Road at 8pm this coming Monday, when it will face Rosmini Gaels in the first round of the Duffy Cup. League action will get underway the last weekend of February when Skerries Harps travel to Clondalkin.
The team is looking to ‘reinforce’ for the season ahead, with new players being sought. This is a great opportunity to play competitive football at Junior level and enjoy the benefits of playing club football. Anyone interested in playing can contact Bernie at 087 2256104. We wish the lads the very best for season ahead.
