Minor Football League Divison 2, Round Tower 4-13 v St Judes 1-8
After narrowly losing their first league match to Castleknock, Round Tower Minors had a good victory over Judes in their second outing, writes Gerry Banks. Played in Corkagh Park – the only playable pitch in Clondalkin last Sunday – Towers started the game on the attack and maintained this tempo right to the final whistle. The strong runs forward by the half back line created space for the midfielders and forwards which they utilised excellently. Two goals in the second quarter from Aaron Soady and Adam Doyle helped Towers to 2-5 to 4pts lead at half-time. In the second half Towers continued with their attacking style of play and never allowed judes get a foothold in the game. Two further goals from Craig Shabaan and Adam Doyle along with points from Thomas Galvin, Aidan Kelly and Stephen Bracken. This win has given the team a great boost and next up is Ballinteer St Johns on Sunday 6th in Marley Park.
