In living rooms across Clondalkin and further afield, toes are tapping and legs are lifting as the training is now well underway for Round Tower GAA Club’s Jigs & Reels 2014.
An excellent group of wanna-be Michael Flatley’s and Jean Butler’s have been brought together for this important club fundraiser. The dancers will take to the stage at the Red Cow Moran Hotel on Friday 31st January in the company of dancers from the Elaine Kavanagh School of Irish Dancing. The Round Tower dancers will be:
• Gerry Banks
• Carol Condon
• Jennifer Cleary Burns
• Ray Davis
• Mary Douglas
• Graham Hall
• Mark Hampson
• Paul Lindopp
• Martina Lyons
• Matt McCormack
• Brian McLaughlin
• Alan Milton
The Hutch, the 2012 Jig & Reels champion, will be making a ‘guest appearance’ to witness who will assume the Round Tower Jigs & Reels 2014 title and cast a scrutinizing eye over the competitors.
It promises to be an evening of fun and fantastic entertainment, with plenty of laughs and excellent talent on show. Those participating are putting in considerable time and effort and we ask Members to support them by turning out on the night.
Arising from the success of the 2012 event, tickets are already selling very fast for the 2014 gathering so people are asked to purchase early to avoid disappointment.
The night’s entertainment will begin at 8pm. Tickets are available for €10 and can be purchased from behind the bar or you can contact Damien Murray at 086 8845676 or Matt McCormack at 087 6836737.
