Dear Members,
As you are aware we recently celebrated the official opening of the Monastery Road development with a marvelously successful weekend of events to showcase the facilities and to also thank those that have contributed to what has been achieved to date.
We have secured Lottery funding of €178,000 To enable us draw that money down for further development work we must raise another €50,000 from members contributions which equates to circa 150 donations of €250 when the tax rebate is factored in.
The next phase will include floodlighting the grass pitch, installing a pathway around the perimeter of the grass pitch and draining the grass warm up/training area.
As soon as we raise sufficient funds work will commence and I am confident with your continued support we can complete this next stage before the end of 2013.
On Monday next August 26th we will be commencing a canvass of all members asking for an annual donation of €250 which can be paid by monthly direct debit (€20.83) if preferred.
We are seeking volunteers who can provide an hour or two a night to assist us to contact members and donors in order to ascertain whether they are in a position to support us again.
If we can get enough volunteers to help in this hugely important exercise, this will last no longer than two or three weeks and any assistance you can provide, be it an hour or several evenings will be most appreciated. Should you be in a position to assist, please meet at the clubhouse at 8pm next Monday evening or email info@roundtower.ie
To those who have subscribed I would like to repeat my words of gratitude on behalf of the membership for what has so far been delivered for the future playing generations of Round Tower GAA Club and Clondalkin.
Mise Le Meas,
Tony Delaney
Chairman
