Round Tower’s Under 9’s girls togged out against St. Maurs on Sunday February 1st, match report by Maria Shannon.
It was an early start on the Monastery Road for our under 9 girls against St. Maurs from Rush. St. Bridget’s morning was crisp and frosty but the sun shone as they battled against the Northsiders who were tough opponents. We welcomed back some of our girls who’d been missing because of injury. Thursday’s snow meant training was cancelled but you wouldn’t have guessed with the team work and skill on display. Maurs put up a great game for our girls and were being matched ball for ball by Towers. There was great feeding of the ball between defence, midfield and forwards with our girls going in for some great tackles and winning the ball back.
