An Under 8 camogie gala blitz took place in Ballinteer St Johns on Sunday morning, writes Angela Quinlan. 21 girls turned out for round towers and put up an impressive display. We entered two teams and played three matches each so plenty of game time for all the girls. Once again we saw some great progress with striking improving and goal scoring! Our blocking improved and goal keeping also. Plenty of goals on the day from Laoise Brennan, Carly Egan, Zoe Stafford and Emma Louise Kilvarry to name a few. Alannah Murphy made her debut for Towers and did very well. At the end of the matches the girls were presented with their medals and a few treats. Thanks to Bernard O’Sullivan for bringing the smoothies too!
