The under 8 camogie girls played their first match after the summer break away to Commericals Hurling Club on Sunday morning. We had nineteen players out which was fantastic and has meant we have been able to move into a two team league. This is great progress as it means we will be playing stronger teams and learning more from each game.
Commercials were very strong with both our teams under a lot of pressure from the start. We played two matches each and got lots of experience marking players and playing in different positions. We got plenty of knocks but the girls were tough and went back onto the field. Both Round Towers teams battled till the end and never gave up and most importantly enjoyed themselves.
Big thanks to all our parents-supporters who were out in big numbers, with plenty of younger siblings running around on the sideline. The future looks good for Towers!
