Our under 8’s traveled up the M50 to Tymon Park for our first football blitz with St Jude’s hosting, writes Podge Byrne. Lucan Sarsfields made up the trio. On a miserable morning we had 28 players out and all acquitted themselves really well. The conditions were difficult with strong winds and rain at times making it hard to control the ball. We played 6 games in all winning 2 and losing 4, although all games were very competitive. We came away with plenty to work on but safe in the knowledge that we are up there competing with the better clubs. All the boys received a medal and refreshments.
