Our Under 8’s travelled to Marlay Park on Saturday morning to play Ballinteer St John’s in their first hurling Go Games. The lads were playing their first games on grass, having done all their training to date on the All Weather playing surface in Monastery Road. The mentors were delighted with the performance of the boys, displaying great skill and endeavor. Ballinteer were a strong outfit and put it up to Towers throughout and our boys stuck to the task well and won five out of six games, with the other being a draw. This is despite being a bit depleted because of the holiday season so the return of players will make the team stronger next time out,. The team were on the road again on Sunday for their final game in the tournament against Craobh Chiarain, which was a cracking game.
Well done boys and to mentors and parents!
