Well done to the U13s who drew yesterday in their second league game to Fingallans Sunday morning. The game finished Fingallians 3-2 to Towers 2-5. Towers lead by 5 points at half time 1-3 to a point, but 2 early goals in the second half put Fingallians back in the lead. But a strong power play put Towers back in front, only for the Swords team to get an equalising goal in the last 3 minutes. Try as we might we could not get a winner and neither team deserved to lose. Well done to all 19 girls who played yesterday and we can’t wait for our next match. Special mention to should go to the match referee yesterday who took time out to explain to the players on some of his decisions and it is great to see a referee do this as it lets the players know what they are doing, whether it be right or wrong.
