Our Under 12 Boys Hurlers took part in the competition for 4 weeks during the summer. The finals night was held last Wednesday in the Community Centre. Semi final line up was Towers vs Commercials and Judes vs Kilmacud Crokes.
Towers defeated Commercials in a hard fought game to earn a place in the final against a strong Kilmacud team who defeated Judes without conceding a score. The final was a very close game with Towers drawing first blood with a great goal which helped them to a 3pt lead at half time.
They held on to that lead until 2 minutes from time until Crokes got an equalising goal to the dismay of the large home support. Not to be outdone the Towers boys went on the attack again and with time almost up the ball was squeezed into the Towers net after some great approach play. That was to be the last score of the game and ensured victory for the Towers team. The trophy was presented to the Captain for the night Eoghan Kinlough Byrne.
The team was as follows; Aaron Byrne, Adam Flood, Jack Slater, Conor Quinlan, Eoghan Kinlough Byrne, Darragh McGowan, Joey Scullion, Cillian McNamara, Sam Mulvanney, Danial Lindopp, Zach McElroy, Dara McKenna, DJ Dwayne, Jack Reilly, Finn Dwayne, Harry Homan, Tadgh Stafford.
