Our Under 10 girls continued their league campaign away to St. Jude’s on Saturday 16th April, match report by Maria Shannon.
It was a short drive down the M50 to Tymon North to take on St. Jude’s, the first time the two sides have met.
Awaiting the girls were two twenty minute matches, sometimes feeling the might of the almighty Irish weather – we even had a few flurries of snow during the games.
The girls settled into their games pretty fast, even with the hilly terrain.
There was plenty of hand passing, some great defending, a few tricks and dummy solos and game playing – something they’ve been really working on in training.
There were some great goals and points but as it’s Go-Games, no scores were kept.
The girls were happy with their games and went home happy.
Thanks again to the mums and dads who come out to every match, to cheer on the girls and add that extra layer of encouragement.
A big welcome to Leah Moore, Leah is our newest team mate and she togged out for the first time in the green and white on Saturday and put her newly learned skills to the test on the pitch.
Training is every Thursday evening at 5.45, for more information – Call Ken Byrne on 087 9983 484
