The Under 10 girls continued their league campaign at home to Lucan Sarsfields on Saturday May 14th, match report by Maria Shannon.
It was a lovely sunny day that greeted our under 10 girls at the Community Centre to face our closest neighbours and rivals, Lucan Sarsfields.
They played two very tough matches against a team they met earlier on in the season.
It was a bit difficult to get into our stride at first, thanks to the glorious weather, as it was a very fast paced set of games.
But once the girls settled, they were using a lot of the skills and drills they’ve been practicing in training, especially passing drills and making sure they got to the ball first.
They’re always asked if they’re giving 100 percent to the match and their team, well they definitely were firing on all cylinders and giving more than what they were asked.
There were some great scores and some near misses as well.
