The latest U10 camogie blitz took place on Sunday in Liffey Gaels with 5 teams taking part, writes Colm Kelly.  There were 2 teams from Good Counsel, Liffey Gaels, St Pat’s Palmerstown and ourselves and each team played 2 matches.  First up was Good Counsel and thanks to an excellently taken “45”, which scored 3 points, we secured victory over them in a match that was really end to end.  The new skills that the girls have learned this year have really come to prominence, especially our blocking and lifting.  In our second game we played St Pat’s and this time our victory was very comfortable and our coaches used the opportunity to move the players into different positions  and everybody played really well.  Training continues every Wednesday at 4:30 on the astro. New players are always welcome.

We also are starting up a new under 8/9 team and they train at the same time and the same venue. Girls born in 2005, 2006 and 2007 are welcome and they will be coached by Heather and Matthew McLoughlin.
