Please see the following information concerning the Thomas Mulligan Memorial Cup. Thomas was a Towers player and we encourage all support for the two events below.

On Saturday January 15th at 6.30pm in St Brigids GAA ground, two teams will battle it out for the Tomas Mulligan Memorial Cup. The Northside team led by Senan Connell  will battle against Coman Goggins southside team. Both teams will be made up of footballers from their respective side of the city. Notable players such as John McNally, Ray Cosgrove, John O’Brien and Derek Byrne will be taking part as well as a host of footballers from various clubs throughout the county.

As you may be aware Tomas played his club football with Good Counsel, Ballinteer St Johns and Round Towers Clondalkin. He was also a member of the Dublin senior football squad for several years. Since Tomas’ passing in 2007 a very successful charity cycle takes place every year in his honour. This cycle raises vital funds for Console and Pieta House the centre for the prevention of suicide and self harm.

In addition to the cycle we have now decided to host this game in his honour and hope to continue it on an annual basis. We invite everyone from the GAA community and beyond to join us on Saturday evening for what promises to be a great game and will be followed up by some entertainment and a raffle in the bar afterwards. There are some great prizes up for grabs and there’ll be plenty of craic agus ceoil.

We would be greatful if you could pass this email on to your membership and if anyone cannot make the game but would like to make a donation they can do so by clicking on the following link, http://www.mycharity.ie/event/stephen_hoarys_event .
