Dublin to  take on Cork in Senior B  Championshp Final

Dublin secured their place in the Aisling McGing Final this year when they pipped Galway at the post in St Margarets today [Sat 3rd Sept].
On 15th August last the Girls in Blue had overcome the Galwegians 11 pointsto 5 but on this occasion the Tribewomen were up for it. In a game which was played defensively by Galway the Dubs had great difficulty getting the ball through to Hannah Tyrell who started out in the full forward line although she did get behind the ball to create Dublins first goal from play. But the Galway defence was such that much of the Dublin attack finished in lost possession or shots wide of the target. It did create two opportunities from penalties converted by Tyrell whichkept the Dubs scores level or thereabouts with the mounting points fromthe Galway forwards. At the full time and with about three minutes of injury time left Galway were looking likely winners with the board reading 3 -04 to 1 -12 in their favour.
Galway conceded a free and the ball was dropped into the small square. There was a scramble of bodies and somehow Denise McKenna got it over the line. The Dubs had pulled a win out of the hat just on the final whistle. So Dublin will meet Cork once again in the McGing Final on 17th next. But as they say "a lot done, more to do".

Fianl Score Dublin 4-04; Galway 1-12.
