Round Towers 5-20

St. Margarets 0-6
Towers won their first match in the group stages of the Intermediate Championship on Wednesday last against a young St. Margarets team. Towers pulled away easily in the first half clocking up two goals in the first ten minutes. The scores continued from all areas of the pitch and the young team had no spirit for a revival. Half time score was 3-18 to 0-1. Towers kept the pressure on in the second half added more scores to the final tally. Good performances from Andrea Bowe, Aisleen Milton and Hannah Tyrell. Defence had little to do, although Maria Kavanagh and Suzanne Murray were strong when needed and Emma Redmond stepped up saving a penalty.
Towers play Skerries next on May 25th and Clontarf on June 1st.
