Round Towers  1-14

Parnells                1-5
Towers Senior ladies clocked up another win in the Cup competition against Parnells on Wednesday May 4th. Towers started off slowly conceding two points in the first few minutes. The defence kept the advantage to Parnells to a minimum with good defending from Caroline O’Sullivan and Maria Kavanagh. After settling down, Catherine Roche stepped up to claim the first score for Towers, followed closely by Emily Hamill. Parnells brought a usual tough physical game but the Towers ladies focused on the football and were leading by three at half time.
With a renewed focus Towers started the second half strongly, producing a fine score that started with Maria Kavanagh at centre back, filtered through four players and ended up over the bar courtesy of Emily Hamill. Sinead Kearns and Ruth Collins worked thoroughly at midfield, using the support supplied by Andrea Bowe and Suzanne Murray at half back.  Catherine Roche added another score along with several from Hannah Tyrell. Towers pushed on and sealed a victory with a well worked goal from Emily Hamill. Aisleen Milton and Clare McGinty worked hard in the forward line to set up scores to finish off the game.
