June 10th, 2012 marks an historic day in the history of Round Tower GAA Club. This day will mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of our extended home that is now the clubhouse on Convent Road. We’re now delighted to bring you these set of pictures from the opening of the extension on what was an historic day for the parish of Clondalkin. With a place to call home, the club went on to enjoy some of its most succesful years, with the following achievements following after the opening:
 
1962 :Under 15 Camogie  team  win Dublin League 
 
1963 :  Under 14 Footballers win both Div 1 South City League and South County League
 
1963  Under 21 Footballers win inaugural Dublin Championship
 
1963 : Intermediate Footballers win Dublin League and gain Senior status
 
1965 : Senior Footballers reach Dublin Championship Final , beaten by a  star studded UCD team 
 
1964-67 Period: Social Committee run Youth socials with popular groups, Phil Lynott , Brush Shields , Tony Kenny ,Skid Row and the Bank Debt on the New Clubrooms is cleared 
 
1966: Senior footballers  win Div.2 League 
 
1966-69 Period: Seniors win  AIB , St Vincent De Paul Leagues, Swords Tournament , Reach Ch/ship Semi final 
 
1966 : Junior Footballers win inaugural Con O’Gorman Cup
 
1970 :Bar facility is opened in the Clubrooms
