Our very own Gary Quinlivan started for Dublin last Saturday as they beat Offaly 1-21 v 1-11 in O’Connor Park in Tullamore in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship Quarter Final. The Dubs have now set up a semi-final clash with Kilkenny, with the date to be confirmed. Well done to Gary and the Dublin team. Hill 16 match report follows.

Dublin are through to the Leinster MHC semi-finals following their impressive ten-point success against Offaly in Saturday’s Electric Ireland Leinster MHC quarter-final at O’Connor Park, Tullamore.

The Dubs used wind advantage astutely in the second half to come from a point in arrears (1-8 to 0-10) to book a provincial last-four clash (against Kilkenny or Kildare).

Pat Fanning’s men came out all guns blazing at the start of the second half and eight unanswered points put the young Dubs firmly in the driving seat.

Dublin tightened up at the back with Eoghan O’Donnell leading by example from centre-back while up front Con O’Callaghan finished with a personal tally of 1-5.

The Cuala man’s goal just inside the final ten minutes ultimately settled the matter with Eoghan Ó Conghaile also impressing in the full-forward line.

Dublin and Wexford are into the Leinster MHC semi-finals with Kildare facing Kilkenny and Offaly meeting Laois to decide the other two positions.
