Thursday 5th July R.T.C. 0-5 V  Trim 2-06
Round Tower’s welcome their host team Trim to the clubhouse at 12pm on Thursday 5th July. After lunch both teams made their way to the Community Centre for the 1st of the Feile Matches. Towers got off to a slow start conceding 1-03 before they got their first score. Tower’s started the second half well with the first 2 scores but Trim broke away to score a second goal and both team’s both match each other for points but Trim edged out a win that was to see them top the group at the end of proceedings virtue of winning all 3 games.

Friday 6th July  R.T.C. 3-04 V Carnew Emmets 2-08
Friday saw Tower’s play their second match of the Feile in wet and windy conditions and they got off to a great start with Tower’s scoring a goal with their 1st attack. This rattled Carnew and with their next attack they got a goal back. Carnew got the next 2 points and where looking like they were going to pull away but another Tower’s point and a goal saw towers up by 1. Carnew got the next 2 points to make it all square but just before half time Tower’s pointed to put 1 between the sides and that was the way the rest of the game would play out. The 2nd half ebbed and flowed with both sides trading scores. Towers got another 1-02 but Carnew edged the game by 1 point at the final whistle.

Friday 6th July  R.T.C. 4-06 V Nh. Olaf 2-04
The second of Friday’s game’s saw Tower’s get a well deserved win over a very good Olaf’s team. This game was played in driving rain but both teams put up a fine show of hurling despite the conditions. Tower’s had the better of the 1st half and went into half time in front a lead they were to hold onto until the final whistle despite a good comeback by Olaf’s.
The mentor’s of the U14 Hurling Team would like to thank all players who put in such a great effort during the All Ireland Féile, to everyone who helped out no matter how big or small (there are too many to mention),to make the occasion such a wonderful experience for all the player’s involved.
