Round Tower GAA Club has embarked on a major development plan for our facilities on Monastery Road. We will officially launch our development activities on September 18th  with an information & social evening in the club house.  The enclosed brochure outlines what we are intending to do and I hope provides you with a sense of the scale of the project and the long term benefit to the club and the local community at large.

To get us to this stage a development committee was established at the end of 2009 and has been working since then to bring the project together.  Our objective is to deliver quality training and playing facilities to the club to secure our future. After 126 years of community involvement and having played in many different places we want to make Monastery Road our permanent home and develop a facility that will be a benefit and a credit to Round Tower GAA Club and the local community.  The future of Round Towers is intrinsically linked to the youth of Clondalkin and the provision of an all weather training pitch, skills wall and quality playing surface will enable young people to develop their playing and social skills in a safe, state of the art environment.

Our estimated costs are €750,000. Thankfully we have secured funding from the National lottery for over half our costs and we also expect support from the Leinster Council of the GAA.  We will obviously need to raise funds locally and it is for that reason I am writing to you now.

We are asking people to sign up and donate €25 a month.  This is the equivalent of 82 cent a day to help provide an environment where our young people can develop their skills. Full details on how to donate are in the brochure.

I understand that we are in difficult times and that any request for financial donations can be a challenge. However I humbly request that if you can support this initiative you do so and we the club’s development committee commit to maximize the return on all donations to provide the best possible facilities for our members.

If you have any queries or if you would like to get involved in our Development please contact me. Many thanks for your support up until now and thanks in advance for your further support.

Is Mise,
