Dear All,

 

As part of our work to assist in the development and growth of local sports clubs, I would like to make you aware of what we believe to be an important and timely seminar for all club committees, coaches and volunteers.

 

The 4 Dublin Local Sports Partnership’s (Dublin City, Fingal, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and South Dublin County) along with Wicklow Sports Partnership will be hosting a 1-day Club Development Information Seminar on Saturday 28th August 2010 from 9.30am-3.45pm at the exciting new Aviva Stadium.

 

This Seminar will consist of 4 x 1 hour workshops on Influencing Local Sport, Garda Vetting for sports clubs, Committee Structures & Roles and Fundraising & Grants. The cost of attending the Seminar is €20 per person, which includes lunch, delegate’s information pack and a behind the scenes tour of the Aviva Stadium. Further information is available from the flyer and registration form enclosed.

 

The Seminar will be opened by Minister for Children, Barry Andrews, TD and other high profile sporting personalities such as former Olympian and current CEO of the Irish Sports Council, John Treacy and Olympic boxer Michael Carruth boxer will be in attendance to address club delegates. A number of companies have also come on board to lend their support. These include McSport, Locallotto.ie, Sportsdelta, The Wheel, Pulse Medical and O’Driscoll O’Neill. These companies will have displays at the event for local sports clubs to gather further information.

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. No bookings will be taken after Friday 20th August.
